Helsinki Espa\u00f1a – Human Dimension<\/h1>\n

Helsinki Espa\u00f1a<\/span><\/strong> is a Spanish human rights organization established in 1992 to disseminate and promote the principles of the Helsinki Final Act<\/strong><\/a> of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)<\/strong><\/a>. Since then, it has been working through education, advocacy, and awareness-raising programs to contribute to the protection of human rights, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recognized as a Non-Governmental Development Organization (NGDO)<\/strong> and declared to be of public utility<\/strong> by the Spanish Ministry of the Interior (registration no. 12,872), Helsinki Espa\u00f1a focuses on international cooperation, human rights education, and the empowerment of vulnerable populations, with a strong emphasis on youth. This status, regulated by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID)<\/strong>, guarantees transparency, effectiveness, and accountability.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2003, under the auspices of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation<\/strong> and the OSCE<\/strong>, Helsinki Espa\u00f1a established the International University Centre of Peace Missions (IUCPM)<\/strong><\/a>, aimed at training professionals with the competencies and skills required to work in peacebuilding and complex international contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 30 years of experience<\/strong>, Helsinki Espa\u00f1a has trained thousands of young people and professionals from more than 70 countries, supported by its University Network<\/strong>, which gathers over 140 higher education institutions worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our core values include diversity and inclusion<\/strong>, a comprehensive approach to human rights<\/strong>, strong alignment with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong><\/a>, and a clear international vocation, both through its partnerships with global organizations and through the diversity of its participants and volunteers<\/span>.<\/p>\n
