{"id":29297,"date":"2021-11-02T09:41:33","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T08:41:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helsinkiespana.org\/jovenes-para-jovenes-castilla-y-leon\/"},"modified":"2021-11-04T08:57:27","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T07:57:27","slug":"youth-for-youth-castilla-y-leon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helsinkiespana.org\/en\/youth-for-youth-castilla-y-leon\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth for Youth Castilla y Le\u00f3n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Disinformation regarding problems related to poverty and social exclusion, general ignorance of the existence of human rights and sustainable development goals, marked stereotypes and youth gender violence, as well as the low level of participation of youth in their communities cause the young population to constantly face the inconveniences of contemporary society.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Acting by and for youth, Helsinki Spain has created <strong><span class=\"s1\">&#8220;Youth for Youth: Educating in Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals&#8221;<\/span><\/strong> 20 years ago. In this IV Edition, which will take place in <strong><span class=\"s1\">Valladolid<\/span>, <span class=\"s1\">Soria<\/span> and <span class=\"s1\">Palencia<\/span><\/strong>, it has the support of the <strong><span class=\"s1\">Junta de Castilla y Le\u00f3n <\/span><\/strong>via <strong>Junta de Castilla y Le\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de la Consejer\u00eda de Transparencia, Ordenaci\u00f3n del Territorio y Acci\u00f3n Exterior<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This initiative has <strong><span class=\"s1\">two phases<\/span><\/strong> where in the first, university youth receive an <strong><span class=\"s1\">online training course<\/span><\/strong>, which will take place between <strong><span class=\"s1\">November 15 and 19<\/span><\/strong>, dealing with topics such as gender equality; mental and emotional health; the environment, sustainability and responsible consumption; bullying, cyberbullying and cybersecurity; the protection of people at risk of vulnerability (migration and refuge, people with functional diversity, the homeless); and the bloc of democracy and participation. Once the training is finished, the university youth transmit their knowledge in pairs, giving <strong><span class=\"s1\">4 awareness sessions<\/span><\/strong> between the months of <strong><span class=\"s1\">December, January and February<\/span><\/strong> in school centers in person through a participatory methodology using dynamics and games; working values \u200b\u200bsuch as respect, equality and non-discrimination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In this way, the project contributes to <strong><span class=\"s1\">the development of a model of global citizenship and a universal culture of Human Rights<\/span><\/strong> in which the participants are more aware of their rights.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 class=\"p1\">&#8220;Youth for Youth&#8221; is not just a project.
