They will also do a practical news clipping assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Helsinki Espa\u00f1a, we promote human rights, peace, and the Sustainable Development Goals. Since 2001, we have been running our free training and volunteer project \u201cYouth for Youth: Educating on Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals\u201d across 15 autonomous communities. It is aimed at university and vocational training students between 18 and 30 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using Service-Learning (SL) and peer-to-peer education, we empower young people to become agents of social change. After intensive training with experts, volunteers run awareness workshops in schools on key topics such as gender equality, cyberbullying prevention, mental health, inclusion, and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of our work with universities, we visited Universidad Europea to present the \u201cYouth for Youth\u201d project and invite students to join as active volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking advantage of this meeting with first-year International Relations students, we led a training session within their document sources class. Following the institutional presentation, students will start a practical news clipping exercise focused on climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this activity, participants will examine and compare how different media sources cover the environmental crisis. They will pay special attention to narrative styles, media bias, and news approaches used when reporting on climate action (SDG 13: Climate Action).
