All this would not have been possible without the contributions to the Helsinki España scholarship program, which allowed me to take the 2018 REACT course.
My experience in the REACT course, apart from being highly enriching both personally and professionally, opened me the doors to the world of humanitarian work. I currently work as a field officer in the Colombian Peace Process where I put into practice what I learned in the REACT course to support the communities.

Participating in the REACT Course and HEAT training, has been an invaluable experience. These trainings provided me with critical insights into conflict dynamics and effective strategies for peacebuilding, equipping me with practical tools to better understand and respond to complex situations. The knowledge gained has already enhanced my professional capacity as a communications specialist, allowing me to craft more informed and sensitive messaging in conflict-affected contexts. Moving forward, these skills will enable me to contribute more effectively to fostering peace and stability through strategic communication, as well as respond swiftly and appropriately in hostile environments. Overall, the training will continue to influence my work positively in the pursuit of conflict prevention and sustainable peace.
