Fight Against the Death Penalty
University Day on the Death Penalty
The university seminar on the death penalty is part of the project Youth for Youth: learning about Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals. This project provides training in human rights, raising awareness of values and youth volunteering to promote the development of a human rights culture in which children and young people become conscious of their own rights and their obligations towards others, promoting their development as responsible members of a global, interdependent, free, peaceful, pluralistic and inclusive society.
Participants in the conference included Amnesty International, the International Committee Against the Death Penalty and Joaquín José Martínez, the first Spaniard to be released from death row in the United States.
